A Mentor Empowers Students
Ascend Tuition Centre has a structured mentoring program, built on years of experience - identifying what it is that students need to do well. The program helps students who have lost motivation, are lacking direction, or simply haven't been taught how to study. What's more, your mentor is a young, enthusiastic Ascend tutor. This allows a deep connection to be built between the tutor and the student, facilitating a trust-based pass down of wisdom.

What does our mentoring program teach students?
Goal Setting, Time Management & Using Technology.
How to study, systems of note-taking, guidance to implement strategies to achieve goals.
Mindset, mindfulness, managing stress & combatting procrastination.
Lesson 1
Through discussion, we discern where students feel they are falling behind. We look at mindset, stress, combatting procrastination and set goals for the future.
There is a small amount of follow up work for the student between lesson 1 and 2.
Lesson 2
In this lesson, we delve into time management, and in great detail - study. We examine note-taking systems, the use of course outlines, great study methods and come up with an action plan.
This action plan forms the basis of the program's 'takeaways'
Check-ins
In subsequent follow-up sessions - which may take the form of 30-minute mentoring sessions or simply be touch bases within the regular tuition program, we ensure that the student is on track to achieve their goals.
