Academic Tutoring + Literacy/Numeracy Support
Ascend Tuition Centre offers both general academic tutoring services and literacy support/numeracy support services for students who are falling behind, and needing consolidation or extension! Our primary school tutoring service is available from our centre in Lesmurdie/Kalamunda, WA or Online. We offer both services in either one-on-one or group arrangements. In a group, students are placed in classes that contain students of similar ability, however, the learning the student undertakes is individualized for the student's specific needs.

SMALL GROUP
Our literacy tutoring program has demonstrated how a data-driven approach to learning literacy skills is beneficial. Our blended delivery of our literacy program utilizes an already effective literacy platform. The platform is driven by the student's progress, meaning, students can work at their pace, achieving their academic goals at a rate which suits the individual's ability. The program works to improve reading, writing, grammar, spelling & comprehension skills.

Our numeracy program is driven by a matrix of "core skills". This means that we work to build a proficiency in the mathematical skills associated with success, and a deep mathematical understanding. Such skills then enable students to improve their results, as classwork, homework and maths as a concept makes so much more sense. This primary school maths tutoring program is exceptionally valuable in preparation for high school.
We also offer general academic support which complements what a student is learning in class!
