NAPLAN, or, the National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy is a standardised test which aims to ascertain a students progression in literacy and numeracy. Many parents like to prepare their children for NAPLAN, and for good reason. However, NAPLAN preparation should be about overall literacy and numeracy skills development - not about quick wins.

It's important to note, that NAPLAN is an indicator of current understanding, so there's not necessarily a "pass or fail". However, when students complete the year 9 OLNA, this influences whether they have to complete OLNA. So, it is best to put some preparation in, so you are ready for the style of questioning the NAPLAN offers. In this way, students don't bare the burden of stress when it comes to OLNA in the upper years of high school.

3 - MODULAR SESSION LEADING
For our general tutoring service, our sessions can operate in 3 ways; student-led, tutor-led, or both! For students who would rather direct the session, the tutor will be responsive to their needs - complementing these needs with additional resources and explanations as required. For students who are more reserved, lost for direction, or would like us to take the wheel, our nurturing tutors can take the lead on the session, complementing what the student is currently learning with support, consolidation, and explanation. Most sessions feature a blend of both - the tutor is responsive to the requests of the student, and also, complements these areas with further consolidation and practice based on the identified needs of the learner.
